‘Disappearing Horizon” catches the ephemeral beauty of Busan’s sunsets, capturing their fleeting moments into Anna’s exploration of place and memory, determinism and unpredictability, through her printmaking.

The transient nature of sunsets beautifully mirrors the themes of memory and place in Anna’s work. Each piece preserves the magical transition between day and night—a time when the Earth becomes the sky and the sky becomes the Earth. Colors are at their most vibrant, yet quickly fading into memory. Sunsets are inevitable, but never the same. Through her experimental series of silk screen printing, artist explores the concept of “Unexpected Determinism”—the idea that while we meticulously plan and predict outcomes the result is never what we expect it to be. Anna intentionally uses printmaking—a medium that itself embodies a balance between control and unpredictability.

Life is an unexpected.

Thus Life is Printmaking.

'스러지는 지평선'은 부산의 일몰이 지닌 덧없는 아름다움을 포착하며, 그 순간들을 안나의 장소와 기억, 결정론과 예측 불가능성에 대한 탐구로 담아내고 있습니다.

일몰의 일시적인 성질은 안나의 작품에서 기억과 장소라는 주제를 아름답게 반영합니다. 각 작품은 낮과 밤이 교차하는 마법 같은 순간을 보존하며, 그 시간이 되면 지구는 하늘이 되고 하늘은 지구가 됩니다. 색깔들은 가장 선명하면서도 빠르게 기억으로 사라져 갑니다. 일몰은 피할 수 없지만, 결코 같은 모습이 아닙니다. 실크스크린 인쇄의 실험적인 시리즈를 통해, 작가는 '예측할 수 없는 결정론'이라는 개념을 탐구합니다. 이는 우리가 세심하게 계획하고 결과를 예측하더라도 그 결과는 우리가 예상한 것과 같지 않다는 아이디어입니다. 안나는 의도적으로 통제와 예측 불가능성의 균형을 갖춘 매체인 판화를 사용합니다.
